Question by A: My baby cries when I lay him down?
He never used to! He is 5 months old and I will rock and feed him to sleep. If I manage to lay him down, he is up again in 20 minutes crying. The only thing I can do to get him settled and back to sleep is breast feed him again. He sleeps really crappy through the night and almost never naps (unless it is in my arms). Also, lately he doesn’t even like to lay on his play mat. Is it possible for babies to get acid reflux at 5 months? Otherwise, what is wrong???

Nothing to worry about, my corn got out of his cage once and I went looking all over my messy room. I then found him sqeezing himself in a small puppet thing.
Be careful where you step but he’s probably hiding inside something. Look inside shoes, cups, within any loose clothing – he’ll be in the least likely place. Also, keep other pets and other people out of your room and block underneath the door so he doesn’t get out.
He will come out eventually to look for food. If you’ll be in the room for awhile, put out a pinky (open the head so the smell will come out – use a toothpick). And wait.

Question by lil monkey’s mama: I have a 6 month old baby who recently started soothing himself at sleep time by scratching his head and face.
I’ve trimmed his nails down but he is still waking up with scratches all over. there was even a bit of dried blood and matted hair on his head. It makes me very upset and I’m not sure what to do. Has anyone ever had this problem? He’s a bit big for mitts, any advice?

Question by Stella: looking for a baby monitor?
I am looking for a baby monitor that will work best in my situation.
It will be used in a 2 story townhouse and only for nap times when he is sleeping upstairs and I am downstairs. I don’t need it to work outside b/c we don’t have a yard. It needs to work with wireless internet without static interference. I am not interested in a motion mat or video. I’d like to find a good one that is relatively inexpensive.
We bought a fisher price one but it has too much static.

I live in a 2 story home as well. This one works well for me. It’s made by Graco. If you don’t need the second handset, they sell it with one for $ 59.99.
