Nap Mat

Nap Mat

Preschool is a big step for your child and the parent alike. For some children it is the first time to be away from home. For others that have been in daycare, preschool is a major move away from the people that they are familiar with onto new faces and strange places. Nap MatA parent can get anxious about the new transition but to make things easier for you is to know all the supplies needed for your child ahead of time. Meet with the preschool teacher weeks ahead and get a list of all the supplies your child will need. On the list you will see that your child will need a Nap Mat for nap time every day.

A good idea is to get your child excited about preschool and get them involved in picking out all the new supplies. Explain to your child that they will be expected to take a nap every day and they will have a special Nap Mat that will be theirs. You may even buy the Nap Map a few months early and have your child take a nap at home on the mat. When your child goes to preschool, they will feel more comfortable at nap time with a familiar mat from home. It will be a safe and secure feeling for them and your child will have a sense of home at school.

Choosing The Right Nap Mat

Unless your preschool demands a certain brand or color for your Nap Mat, the choices are endless. The uniqueness of the Nap Mat is important to what your child enjoys. There are a wide range of colors and characters featured on the Nap Mat. It comes in themes like Animal Friends, Flower Power, Dinosaur Pals, Sports, Fireman, Princesses, Bears, or Polka Dots. Disney characters or cartoon characters are also available on some Nap Mats. You and your child can decide and that will make nap time more enjoyable for your child.

Some Nap Mats include a poly-fill pillow with the cotton/polyester fabric with polyester batting fill. They come with an attached blanket lined with 100 percent cotton flannel, with a light layer of polyester fill for added warmth. The Nap Mat is machine washable on the gentle cycle using cold water.

The Pillow is removable and the nap mat will easily roll-up with a Velcro closure. The mat is lightweight and has a handy carrying strap.  The Nap Mat is very compact and folds into a convenient package complete with a handle. Or it will fold into its clear PVC carry backpack styled case, that even little kids can tote it around with ease.

The Nap Mat is an important part of preschool and your child will be able to enjoy nap time a little better. Nap Mat’s are great for the house as well. Make your transition to preschool fun and exciting with a comfortable new Nap Mat.

Some kids are like that, I know mine is. Don’t get mad, remove him from the group, and let him cut paper or something – but he has to be quiet.

      Bad thoughts PLZ help!?

Question by gυιиєαριgѕgαℓσяє!=): Bad thoughts PLZ help!?
I can’t control my thoughts sorta. It started in Kindergarten when we would lay on our mats at nap time and I would imagine those little sticky hands going around the cabnet handle and when i willed it to stop it just kept going. Anyway, I have these bad thoughts that just pop into my head for no reason even when I’m feeling really happy or loving. I’ll see bad things in movies (EX murder) and think “I wish that would happen to ____.” Usually these are about my family or calling God bad names like the W word. I don’t mean it!!!! I pray whenever they get in (Like 15 times a day on a good day) and say
“Dear Jesus Christ, Another very bad thought just got into my head. Please know that absolutely NONE of the bad thoughts that get into my head are true… all of them are FALSE and I’m very sorry for those bad thoughts, I love you Lord, I thank you, Amen.” But usually the bad thoughts come in and like mix up the false and true words and when i say Lord it says …. W word. So eventually i just ropped the love part and just said Amen. But I feel bad doing that b/c I’m not saying I love you anymore. And another bad thought really just got into my head… saying instead of loving Lord i loved the oppisite! NOT TRUE PLZ HELP!!
I try to think of other things but they always come back…
PS: mom would nvr go for therapy

Have you ever quit a job on the first day?

Question by kevsmom: Have you ever quit a job on the first day?
I was hired by a day care a couple months ago, but I quit after the first day because:
        1. I had 17 three year old. 8 more than regulations are supposed to allow
        2. I was not introduced to the children, so I did not know their names, I had to guess who was who
        3. I was not shown where any supplies were, other than cleaning supplies, which the owner seemed to be obsessed with
        4. One child had severe behavior problems-hitting, kicking, pushing other children, marking on walls and tables, she spent most of the time in time out
        5. I was not informed of all the regulations, other than cleaning
        6. It was impossible to follow the rules. For example, if a child had to go to the bathroom , I had to supervise them. lest they drown in the sink or toilet, but if I was watching the bathroom, I was leaving the others “unattended”
        7. I was not shown how to serve lunches-how much of each food item to give-only fussed at for giving seconds on juice. Water was the only choice.
        8. I was not told how to set up the sleeping mats at nap time. They have to be so many feet apart. NO one told me until it was too late, so I was fussed at again
        9. Most of the books were torn ot missing pages, so reading to the children was difficult. Most of the puzzles were missing pieces and many other toys were broken.

So at the end of the day, I told them I decided I was not interested after all. There was supposed to be a 3 hour training class before I even cared for the children, but this was not offered. There was supposed to be another teacher in the room to train me but she spent the day talking on the phone or at the front desk.
In addition, I would have had to:
        1. Buy scrub uniforms at my expense
        2. Have a pysical at my expense
        3. Drive about 1 1/2 hours away to another city to be finger printed on my own time and pay $ 45.00 for the process.

I would have reported them to the state. One person for 17 three-year-olds is dangerous and illegal.
